I'm just amazed to discover it really works!

I saw a section on /dev/tcp in the Advanced Bash Scripting Guide:
	<http://personal.riverusers.com/~thegrendel/abs-guide-2.6.tar.bz2>

but, since I didn't SEE a '/dev/tcp' on my mac, I assumed it was an 
unsupported linux-ism.

But, as Cameron noted, it's no real device there -- it's just the shell 
using a device-like syntax
to do some magic.

However, now that I know that it actually works, I hope I never need to 
use it ever again!  ;-)
