[SciPy-user] Zeta function of complex argument

Hi,

can anybody tell me, why the Rieman zeta function does not eat complex
variables?
For example

scipy.special.zeta(2,2.0+1j*1.0)

yields the error message

'function not supported for these types, and can't coerce safely to supported
types'.
