[SciPy-User] 64 bit compilation

Hello scipy users,
I've installed 64 bit python from source (CC=gcc -m64 ...). Now I'm trying
to install scipy

python setup.py install

but it doesn't work. I know there are 64 bit binaries, but I want to compile
it myself. What I am doing wrong? Do I need a special configuration in
setup.py?
