bugs.python.org uses the attribute name="openid_identifier" for the username field. According to the OpenID spec, this is the official way of indicating (to the browser) that this is the field where the OpenID should be entered. If your browser supports OpenID, it will know to fill the form automatically (but I understand that few browsers actually do support that API).

As a further visual clue, putting an OpenID favicon next the login box might help. If so: what icon URL? left or right?
