Hi Rob,

Hmmm, then the "Extending and Embedding" tutorial on Python.org is
probably what you're looking for:

    http://docs.python.org/ext/ext.html

This tutorial explains how to write C/C++ code that interacts with Python.

You may also want to look at the Pyrex system:

    http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/~greg/python/Pyrex/

which allows for fairly easy access to C libraries from Python.

One alternative to Pyrex is SWIG:

    http://www.swig.org/
    http://www.swig.org/tutorial.html

Hope this helps!
