You are right, and xmlproc is wrong. Please report this as a bug on
SourceForge, and attach your example. I'll see if I can fix this in a
day or two; it's not a complicated bug to fix. (Would have done it
already, except I don't have the PyXML CVS tree here, and I'm
offline.)
