Hi all, today I stumbled across PyX: http://pyx.sourceforge.net I figured I'd mention it here, since I'd never seen it mentioned by anyone in the science/python discussions and it seems nicely done. With its tight latex integration (see the examples page), it may fit the bill for some. Disclaimer: I have NOT used it myself, I just looked at the examples and syntax. Regards, F.

Hi all, just a short note concerning the ATLAS version. The hint in INSTALL.txt is going out of date. It should be cd scipy/Lib/linalg instead of cd scipy/linalg Nils

Different failures in scipy.test()

Dear experts, I have observed different failures in scipy.test() on different installations (python2.2, python2.3) with different versions of ATLAS. What is the reason for that ? Which versions of ATLAS and python are recommended ? Nils

Missing matrix function sqrtm

Dear experts, I would appreciate it, if the square root of a matrix will be provided as a separate function in scipy. Any suggestion ? Nils
