[Chicago] Email Library?

Hello,
In the past I've used "turbomail", but it looks like last version was from
2009.

Are there any other libraries that you use to send emails?
either stand alone, or part of a framework like django, or pyramid?

I'm sure turbomail is still working, I just wanted to see if there is a
refreshment needed?
