It is possible you forgot to run "newaliases" after editing
your /etc/aliases file?  Only other thing I can think of is
that the permissions on your ~mailman tree might not allow
the wrapper program to "post" to the list because either the
script (post) or the lists directory permissions are too restrictive
or otherwise incorrect.
