[Mailman-Users] External subscribers bounce

I've installed and configured mailman and everything seems to be
working,
except that for some reason, mailman is unable to deliver mail to any of
the list subscribers with addresses that are not in the same domain as
the
server running mailman. All such addresses are reported by mailman to
bounce.

The same server runs sendmail and normally delivers mail to external
domains
without problems.

My system is:
mailman 2.0.1
RedHat Linux 7.1
sendmail 8.11.2

Does anyone have a quick solution to this?
