[Mailman-Users] No notification of list creation

I have just installed Mailman and I created my first list.  After doing so,
I was presented with...

You have successfully created the mailing list test2 and notification has
been sent to the list owner bmail at basspond.com.
==============================

However, I never received the notification.  What am I missing?
