I'm not sure I understand what you want. The list configuration,
membership and member options are all saved in
lists/listname/config.pck. You can make periodic copies of that file
as a backup in case of failure. You can also use bin/list_members to
make a copy of the membership list in a plain text file.

If your list is hosted elsewhere, and you don't have access to these
tools/files, you can use the email 'who' command to get a (possibly
incomplete) member list, or you can script the web interface as
suggested at
