This is also on the user's options page as "Conceal yourself from
subscriber list?" It does not show this user on the roster or the
email 'who' command results. You can effectively do the same thing by
setting private_roster to List admin only on the Privacy
options->Subscription rules page. Note also that the default setting
of this for new members is new_member_options->Conceal the member's
address on the General Options page.

This affects how member addresses are shown on the roster and in the
archives - 'user at example.com' vs. user at example.com'.

This is the one you want to make the sender's address not visible in
posts.
