Announce: PyClimate 1.2, 09 Dec 2002
We present version 1.2 of our package PyClimate: http://www.pyclimate.org
It is dedicated to the analysis of atmospheric and oceanic data sets
using Python. It makes heavy use of NumPy and some of our own
C extensions to speed up the code.
It is distributed according to the GNU General Public License Version 2
(it is free).
The updates from version 1.1.1 to 1.2 comprise:
a) Some minor bugs corrected.
b) Several changes in Principal Component Analysis routines. The old module
has been object oriented and a new module allows to process huge data sets.
c) Added a netCDF iterator to search tranparently a time record through
many of this files.
d) Monte Carlo test for the Barnett-Preisendorfer version of the CCA
e) Analog search for downscaling purposes
f) Array of numerical histograms (NHArray.py)
g) Cleaner name spaces
h) Statistical tests added to tools.py
i) Nearly 100% doc-string documented code and happydoc generated
on-line documentation.
We would appreciate feedback by users.
Enjoy ;-)
