Dear Pythonistas,
Happy weekend, hope your week wasn't so stressful?
First of just to update you guys that we had another popular feature on
olorisupergal website thanks again to #Wale
http://olorisupergal.com/django-girls-lagos-set-to-hold-programming-workshop-for-ladies/
I had a conversation with Olabayo this past week, and came up with these
suggestions. Since there was a really low response rate on the lite meetup
being planned, we might as well just leave the meetup until the major
meetup that would happen at the DjangoGirls thank you coach's dinner
immediately after the DjangoGirls workshop. The meetup will come with a
separate planning which am happy to double up alongside the coach's dinner
(same venue). More details on the meetup will be provided here soon. It's a
free meetup for all pythonistas in Nigeria, but would be close knit and
require registration(maybe eventbrite) to make organizing more manageable
as we would also have to manage the resources we have. So if you would like
to help out with planning for the meetup, contribute or got any ideas
please get in touch.
A brief reminder that I am still collecting quotes for the PyCon Namibia
talk. I would really love to tell our story in your own words to the
international python community. I have one on *PyCon Nigeria* :)
Finally, just a note of correction from my prev. mail that the Women's
Technology Empowerment centre is based in Lagos not in Ibadan. I humbly
apologize for the semi-correct information.
with warm greetings do have a Pythonic weekend *stolen* :D
Aisha
