Wild guess: the preferences have gone missing, or point to the 
wrong location. Try running ConfigurePythonCarbon again. You 
could also try option-starting the interpreter, turning on the 
verbose and inspect option, hope for a prompt and inspect 
sys.prefix and sys.path.
