Safari 1.3 syntax error in liveglue.js?

I don't know for sure that this is new behavior with Safari 1.3. I had been generally using Firefox, and just recently decided to use Safari a bit more. I'm running Nevow 0.4.1, and Safari 1.3 is giving me a syntax error: try { eval(xmlhttp.responseText) } catch (e) { alert("Exception: " + e.toString()+'\nCaused by script:'+xmlhttp.responseText) throw e } The line Safari points to is the "}" at the end. Can someone out there try something with LivePage under Safari 1.3? It's always possible I'm doing something wrong... Kevin

guarded example using external login form file

Hello, I'm learning nevow and I would appreciate some help modifying this example: http://nevowexamples.adytum.us/sources/guarded.py This "logs in" a user validating it with a username and password. The form used to accept user input is embedded in the code using the stan tags in the NotLoggedIn() class. What I want is to have the login form in an external xhtml file (login.html), like the one that follows my signature. My new NotLoggedIn() class simply looks like this: class NotLoggedIn(rend.Page): """The resource that is returned when you are not logged in""" addSlash = True docFactory = loaders.xmlfile("login.html") I believe the only thing that has to change in the xhtml file (other than the nevow xml space declaration) is on the first line, the "action" thing (guard.LOGIN_AVATAR in guarded.py). But I can't figure out what nevow tag to use there. Can you suggest how to do it? So, i have a link, that looks like this: <a href="http://localhost/index?text=abc def ert&base=base2"> (there are spaces in href) To make valid link, i need to do urllib.quote by myself: from urllib import quote ctx.fillSlots("href", quote(str(u),':&/=?')) Why URL flattener avoid urllib.quote? P.S. And may be using urllib.unquote_plus() is more correct in url.URL than urllib.unquote()? Simplest way to mimic Apache/IIS virtual directories?

I am taking first steps with Twisted Web (after a brief play 18 months ago) and want to port across a large number of existing web apps which currently run under Apache. These apps currently use our own very simple CGI framework with App, Request and Response classes. It took me under 1 hour from download to having a running .rpy file which wraps my own framework and actually runs through the main actions of the apps, passing all parameters correctly. I am VERY impressed.... One last problem. My app suite has a lot of mappings like this defined in the Apache config file: Alias /fooimages/ "C:/code/customer/fooserver/images/" Alias /barimages/ "C:/code/customer/barserver/images/" In general these let each app refer to static web content which is shipped in that app's code base. I have hundreds of page templates, and would really like to avoid changes so I can "parallel run" cgi and twisted on different ports. Is there some way I could define these in twisted.web? (I can see the Alias in twisted.web.rewrite, but have not found any examples of usage.
