How to know if a LIveElement is alive :)

Hi, I wonder know if my nevow.athena.LiveElement intances are alive. This means for example, the web browser was now closed. I've been checking the API documentation at http://buildbot.divmod.org/apidocs/nevow.athena.LiveElement.html but didn't fin any sutable method for asking this. How do you do this stuff? Soap Client through http proxy with authentication on twisted!!!!!!!

Hey, I'm working on an soap client at the moment with twisted package version 8.2.0-1. It soap client will have to work in environments where connections have to be routed through a http proxy with authentication, but I can't find any way to specify a http proxy with authentication using any of the Twisted classes. Is this possible? I assumed it was seeing as how it is a fairly common situation but the documentation/API haven't provided any useful information. Hi all, I used Twisted to write a small server and now I am using Nevow.Athena to write a web administrative interface. I got the tutorials running and now I am changing it to reach what I want for my webapp. The problem I am having is in the javascript side. Thanks for your reply. I already thought about that but I'll have other problems if I do so: - I need some variables to be common between the instances (Maybe it's not so difficult with RPC or a DB or shared memory). - I also need to keep a pool of all the outgoing the connections (to perform some real time stats and to limit the number of connection per user) But if I do not have other choices, it's certainly what I'll have to do... Hello, I used Twisted to write some kind of proxy and it's working great, it's so easy to develop and understand. But I have a problem. I use SSL (on both side of this app) and the bandwidth available is limited to the power of one of my CPU due to the high cost of the SSL encryption. I would like to use both core of my CPU to increase the bandwidth of this application but it does not seem easy to do. # Here is the server definition in myapp.tac from twisted.application import internet, service application = service.Application('MyApp', uid=1001, gid=1001) internet.SSLServer(80, serverFactory, MySSLContext(), 50, 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx').setServiceParent(service.IServiceCollection(application)) # And here the clients connections from twisted.internet import reactor, ssl mySSLContext = ssl.ClientContextFactory() mySSLContext.method = SSL.SSLv23_METHOD reactor.connectSSL(self.HOST, self.PORT, self, mySSLContext) Does anyone already have this kind of problem? It should send the line "Hey." to all connected users every second. It does that - however, the message only sends through if the client is typing or has entered a line. So, if a client is idle for 30 seconds, then starts typing, he will receive "Hey." 30 times in a row - one for each second he was idle. Is there any way to get this to send the message and have it show up for a client even when they're idle?
