[Mailman-Users] Command died with status 2

I have been able to set up my first list successfully. I am using
Mailman 1.1. When I subscribe to the list, I am sent a message telling
me that I have to confirm it. So, I send a message to the
mail_test-request address with the confirmation and I get back a message
that says:

<mail_test-request at sparkie.osl.state.or.us>: Command died with status 2:
    "/usr/local/mailman/mail/wrapper mailcmd mail_test"


What is status 2 and why is this happening?
