[Mailman-Users] Any way users can unsubscribe without a password?

I would like to put Mailman to use in an organization I'm 
doing some work for *however* there is too much resistance 
to the idea of requiring users to provide a password to 
unsubscribe.

Does Mailman have an option to not require a password
for the purposes of unsubscribing?

Are there any unofficial patches to change the code in
Mailman (presumably some Python file) to facilitate this
functionality?
