OK, I think I understand. You want to disable the response to a
successful 'confirm' command only. I probably could have figured that
out if I'd looked more closely at your original reference.

Which is true. The only way to do this is to patch the code along the
lines of the above reference, but there is an easier patch (because
the base code has changed from 2002).
I have put a patch on sourceforge which implements this as an option.
