New submission from Sander Steffann: The "class shelve.Shelf(dict, protocol=None, writeback=False, keyencoding='utf-8')" section still says "By default, version 0 pickles are used to serialize values.". This is incorrect. Paul Winkler added the comment: This was marked as a duplicate of http://bugs.python.org/issue8788 but the doc changes in that issue, and the current docs for 2.7, do not mention anything related to handling of unicode nor how `doseq` affects unicode-related behavior. Hey, I just noticed a small typo in the document: "the language features a str <https://docs.python.org/3/library/stdtypes.html#str> type that contain Unicode characters" where "contain" should read "contains" Thanks, Eli Most
