problems with data_XXX in formless templates

Hi, I am having some problems using nevow:data attributes inside a formless managed form. I want to extract some data from a database and show it at the beginning of the form and IMHO, nevow:data is the Right Way (TM) but unfortunately nevow tries to pass the current configurable as the 'data' parameter to my data_XXX methods and: nevow.accessors.NoAccessor: <MethodBinding submitted=Method at 0x4229164c> does not implement IContainer, and there is no registered adapter. Right now I am using a render_XXX method that does not suffer from the same problem but I find this limitation quite frustrating. I could run the site, as my server is Python-based (using the Twisted/Nevow packages) and it very flexible. I've already got something running that involves registered users logging in and uploading and downloading binary files (PDFs of documents) to and from a MySQL database. Tying the binaries to user IDs and transcripted text would be very straightforward. I couldn't do much work in it for another month or so, though. Shutting down server via web-request with nice status page

Hello, I have question about how does reactor.stop() work with Nevow. I have a simple web server (in twisted/nevow) that does something in background, and there's a page that's supposed to close the server gracefully. I would like the request to be served this way: - client sends the request (opens the page in browser) - he gets half-finished page with something like "Shutting down..." - server does some possibly time-confusing stuff then sends "Finished" completing the page - server stops I'm pretty new to both twisted and nevow, and this is what i've come up so far quickly. Surprisingly, it works to some extent, as in server does indeed stop, but i'm looking for a way to make it non-blocking, so other client who connect in the same time would get alternative page with "server closing down" message. class Terminate(rend.Page): """ Rendering this resource will stop the import process if it's running, then save current state and configuration and gracefully shutdown import server """ NAME = 'Terminating server' docFactory = loaders.stan( html[ head[page_title(NAME)], body[ main_header(NAME, url.root), ul(data = directive('execute'), render=directive("sequence"))[ li(pattern='item')[span(render=directive("string")), "... better PHP support

Good day ! What about adding FCGI functionality into twisted, it will be better for migrating (or building dual twisted-php) servers. In CGI mode load is to high. One more : for PHP environment variable "DOCUMENT_ROOT" is often used - it means root of PHP project. I'm new in twisted and can't add this self. Maybe twisted community can help me? Andrey Chichak.

Problem running finger program

hi; i have installed twisted and i know it is working fine because i can run shtoom (which uses twisted). Am trying to use some of the classes to right my own program. I started with the finger tutorial. I downloaded the example from: http://twistedmatrix.com/documents/current/howto/tutorial/listings/finger/f… then did twistd -ny finger11.py at the command line, the thing ran, but am not sure what is a good way to test it? I am fingering a user locally but that is always returning something regardless of the finger11.py program is running or not. Any hints please? thanks m. smadi

Bugs in Nevow documentation

Hello! I am currently reading the new Nevow documentation in order to learn it. It's nice, thank you! Who is the author? I have found a typo there. Go to the nevow-traversal.txt, class Documentation example and look at the following line: fullpath = os.path.join(self, name) It must be: fullpath = os.path.join(self.directory, name) And I also want to mention the fact that there are lots of places in the docs where the author misses import statements. It must be pretty obvious where this places a, so I wouldn't list this places here... P.S. Is posting to this mailing list the right way to report the bugs? memory leaks

Good day! I've partialy migrated my site from php to twisted-web and now under high load a memory size occupied by server raises from 12Mb to 130Mb during 1 day. I need help !!!! Andrey Chichak.
