[issue39391] Nondeterministic Pydoc output on functions that have functions as default parameters

New submission from Peter Occil <poccil14(a)gmail.com>: It appears that if a method has default parameters set to functions, as in this example: def f1(): pass def f2(a, b=f1): pass The resulting Pydoc output produces a different, nondeterministic rendering for the f2 method each time it generates the documentation, such as `m1(a, b=<function f1 at 0x7f4ff67f8950>)` or `m1(a, b=<function f1 at 0x7f4ff67f8950>)`. And this is problematic for version control systems, among other things, especially since this is not a meaningful change to the documentation. "pseudo random number generator" (once) should be "pseudo-random number generator" (as elsewhere on the same page) It is a number generator which is pseudo-random, not a random number generator which is pseudo! Keith

Python document update request for sort keys in json module

Hello, I run an application on python 2.7.5 version. I have a json that is represented by a python dictionary. That dictionary is a nested one with values that can be dictionaries or list themselves. I want to go through the dict recursively with any inside dict also processed in sorted-keys order so that I can take a checksum of the dict which would be same in any subsequent iterations of me taking the checksum. I see that the json module has a "sort_keys" parameter that I can pass. Below is what it says on the doc page for the "sort_keys" parameter. It says, dictionaries but it doesn't explicitly say that it can handle dictionaries or lists as values of the dictionary for which I want the checksum. I tried to look at the source and it did seem like the nested dicts are also sorted. I also tried few examples and found the same behavior. So my request is can we add in the documentation that the sort_keys parameter also works in case of nested dictionaries (assuming of course that what I understood is correct). From the documentation: https://docs.python.org/2/library/json.html If sort_keys is true (default: False), then the output of dictionaries will be sorted by key. Let me know if something is not clear. Thanks in advance for your help.
