Dear skimagers, It's almost time for our second US West/Australia scikit-image community meeting! The meeting will start at 4:10pm Pacific time on Monday, Sept 30, 2019. A last "executive decision": governance for skimage

Dear skimage community, I just took the liberty of merging https://github.com/scikit-image/scikit-image/pull/3585 This may be the *last* time that I get to make such a decision, because PR #3585 installs several new community documents: - SKIP (SciKit-Image Proposal) process similar to PEPs and NEPs - Governance model, including a 5 person steering council - (Draft) Vision/values/mission statement I encourage you to read the merged documents, and to discuss any aspects that you'd like to see clarified: https://scikit-image.org/docs/dev/skips/index.html (It's going to take a few minutes until this renders online.) This brings to close a rather long discussion on how to run the project, and I would like to thank everyone who took time to share their view. This project is stronger because of you—its community. questions on loading video files in mov format

Hello All, I have several videos in mov format, can scikit-image open it? What are the functions to extract related video metadata, such as number of frames? scikit-image progress meetings

Dear skimagers, Starting tomorrow, we will have scikit-image developer meetings every week, at alternating times to suit community members in the US West Coast/Australia, and in Europe/US East Coast. The first meeting will be Monday, Sept 16, at 4pm Pacific time. This meeting will repeat every second week. The time is not yet set for the European version. NumPyDoc validation

Hi all! There is a thread on the NumPy mailing list discussing a linter that pandas uses for numpydoc docstrings. It sounds super useful and I think we should adopt it. =) https://mail.python.org/pipermail/numpy-discussion/2019-July/079843.html <https://mail.python.org/pipermail/numpy-discussion/2019-July/079843.html> Gaël additionally proposes that this should be pushed to napoleon, a Sphinx now-built-in extension that supports the numpydoc standard. Perhaps we should move to napoleon also. Waiting to hear your thoughts, will propose a PR if people are on board. Juan.

numba keep the reference first given

hi: this is not about skimage. but I want to ask anyone find numba keep the reference first given? a jit function, pass a numpy array in, the array would not be free until all program exit. but call it twice or more, it is ok. anyone has the same experience? best regard来自新浪邮箱触屏版
