I think, it's about time for me to say hello! I am in the game for Google Summer of Code. I will be working on Scheme interpreter/front-end during this summer. Armin Rigo is my mentor. Right now I am doing more research on the subject and getting familiar with PyPy code base. The main issue right now is: How to start with PyPy? Here's an interesting question... how hard would it be to write a C API for embedding the pypy VM in a C or C+ + application? Javascript parser

Hi! I read that some people here may work on a javascript parser. I'm also working on one, so I would be really interested in collaboration. Especially with people who have more experience with compiler and interpreter needs. I only have the need up to an AST and generating javascript from that again. SciPy conference August 14-18 at Caltech

Anybody here going? Even if we don't make a pypy presentation, we should probably make a poster/hand out. This conference is a likely source of the kind of people who do the sort of algorithmic computing that we can expect to best optimise. It would bt nice to get some speedup figures from them. Laura

I regularly read the logs of #pypy for when I cannot be around. I learn a lot this way. If the interesting discussion starts happening someplace else, I won't learn as much, which I would consider a shame. Laura

To refresh everyone's memory I'll be pushing the JVM backend forward and creating JSR-223 bindings to allow you to script PyPy in Java applications.
