Hi, I hope I won't be off topic with this first post.
I'm FoxMaSk, I'm french, I started my opensource life almost 20years ago
(1998), with Perl(3y), then PHP(11y) and recently Python, after pyconfr2012.
May I introduce a little toy I made with Django, which allow us, like a
bus, to bring data from one station to another.
Something like the famous IFTTT.com does with the internet services you
The integrated services, of this little toy, are, to name a few,
Mattermost/Slack, Github, Mastodon, Twitter, Evernote, Wallabag, RSS,
etc. With this tool in my hands, I'm able to track anything about Python,
Django or follow a chess championship and store the grabbed articles in
a read-it later app like Wallabag/pocket.
I can use Evernote in offline, to take the time to write a long ticket
for github, or a blog post, which could be immediatly propagate to
mattermost etc etc.
Thus, all my technology watch and community communication is automated.
This is a self-hosted project, thus all the credentials you've given to
IFTTT (and friends), you now keep them safe on your own.
In case you'd be interested by the project, it's is on github
(https://github.com/foxmask/django-th). You can also play with it on
Finally, I'm very pleased to be part of the Python universe and hope I
could bring my modest contribution to some projects.
