Initial Comment: Mails in the archive have a mailto: link with which you can reply to the email you're viewing. That mailto: URL contains an &In-Reply-To= part, to set the In-Reply-To: header in the generated mail and thus enable correct threading of replies. Unfortunately, we give the wrong ID. We give the In-Reply-To: header of the message to which the user would be replying, but we should be using Message-Id: of the message in question, instead. This should make it possible for mmdsr or similar tools to determine what percentage of e-mails bounced. The patch also exercises the message-id code in test_bounces.py. Currently it fails because some of the messages in tests/bounces/ have mbox-style 'From ' lines, and this seems to make email.Message ignore the headers; this causes test_bounces.py to fail at the moment after the patch is applied. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: A.M.
