Hi, Just wanted to give a heads-up that I intend feed you guys a patch for the imap server to properly handle literals in all places they need to be handled towards the end of this week. Unfortunately, it's quite a large change since it requires a complete restructuring of how arguments are parsed. Basically, instead of having each command parse it's own arguments, the idea is to list what arguments each command expects, and have the command dispatcher parse the arguments and possibly request continuation for literals. I expect to have more patches coming, as I need this for the project we're working on. It'd be nice if we could coordinate the work, so we don't end up with incompatible fixes and improvements, and try to avoid duplicate work. /Anders -- -- Of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. Resource scripts have been a rather active topic of discussion on the list the past few days -- you really should check the archives. You probably don't want to be using them, as explained by Moshe Zadka in this post: http://twistedmatrix.com/pipermail/twisted-python/2003-June/004693.html Regarding form parameters, you'll find them in the .args attribute of a request. Hi, I was trying to test Issues. But in issues-admin, there's a twisted.world import which fails on my machine (gentoo Linux 1.4, twisted 1.0.5). Looks like my cvs copy was set to use a tag from 2 weeks ago (June 10? -- D2003.06.10.04.00.00) Not sure how it got that way (bit of a cvs newbie :o) I used cvs update -r HEAD -d -P and now when I look in the CVS/Tag files it shows NHEAD Is that the correct one? [Twisted-Python] Issues 0.1 alpha release

Issues, a issue tracking system built on Twisted technology, has been released for the first time today! This is an alpha release, so please don't trust it with important, backup-less data. The intent of this release is to get people playing with Issues, to identify usage bugs and missing features. The full 0.1 release, once the most crucial of these bugs have been dealt with. Hopefully in a week or two. Issues does have an email notification feature, but this has been disabled on the demo, as I didn't want to send out automated emails from twistedmatrix.com without first clearing it with the relevant authorities. cheers, jml

[Twisted-Python] Loading pageproducers dynamically

I'm porting a project to Twisted where I loaded what was then called pageproducer, similar to subclasses of Resource in Twisted. They were in a given folder and located, created an instance of at run time and stored in a lookup-structure. The files were organized something like this : www/index.py www/folder1/hello1.py www/folder2/subfolder3/hellotoo.py [ ... etc ...] www/index.py maps to index.html, www/folder1/hello1.py to /folder1/hello.html etc. The main point being that the server didn't know what classes to import and create before run time. How can I create someting similar to this, using Resource's putChild etc and keeping the things discussed lately about keeping python modules out of the webtree ?? I want my users to be able to add pages with ease, not having to edit import statements in the main modules, put simple doing something like this in a module named helloworld.py, located in www/test/helloworld.py : class helloworld(Resource): def render(self, request): return 'hello world' and pointing your browser to /test/helloword.py should then show "Hello world". Most examples discussed lately has imported all needed modules explicitly at start up. My setup needs to be more dynamic. Thomas
