New uber exim transports/directors

I've modified Nigel's exim transports (hopefully in good). changing question-or-comment-addr

Hello, I posted this in mailman-user but there I got no answer so maybe this is a problem for developers ;): How can I change the 'send question or comments to'-Addr on the main- listinfo and admin-page? The domain isn't right. I've set DEFAULT_HOST_NAME, but this mail-addr is still another hostname. Think about this, though--how do you actually generate the images and serve them properly without either including the email address in the html code anyway (so the img request specifies what image to generate), or building a whole database mapping arbitrary numbers to email addresses (so they can either be generated on the fly or stored pre-generated). Once you've got that database, why not just have that database front a web form instead of displaying the address? -Dale

Can't get VERP to do much

Ok, so I got VERP enabled, the envelope now looks good on outbound messages, and exim accepts messages back. mailman wrapper chokes on unknown commands

moving list archives

Hello, I'm moving lists to a different server and would like to zip up their archives and unzip them on the new server. Is this possible without creating problems? I am concerned about making the lists inaccessible if I do this. Since I have created new lists that were not on the old server, it is not possible to zip up the directory and move that in total. MM2.1 playground on python.org

I've finally gotten Mailman 2.1-cvs up on python.org, and co-habitating with the production MM2.0.8 installation. My thanks to Nigel Metheringham for helping jump start the necessary Exim config magic (captured in README.EXIM in cvs now). This should give us a platform to play with various bits of the interface and configuration. Right now I don't have a public list that I can give out the admin password for, but still, I encourage you to subscribe to the Playground list and watch all my tests messages. :) Visit http://mail.python.org/mailman-21/listinfo/playground or send a message to playground-join(a)python.org to start the subscription dance. upgrading a private list from mm 2.0 to 2.1a4cvs

Apparently, when I upgraded a list that had posting for members only, this setting didn't get translated into the new generic_nonmember_action / Hold I believe it defaulted to Accept. For migrating sites with many lists, having that convertion done automatically would be good.
