Hi guys, I am Shreyas Lakhe and want to contribute to GNU Mailman as part of GSoC 15. I want to work on the "A Dashboard for Admins/Owners/Moderators" project as part of GSoC 15. Queries related to list styles

hi, I am queries related to project for GSOC'15 named "Improving list styles" , as I have seen right now styles have been dependent on zope interface. So do we have to remove the zope dependencies ? or We have to work around to make a UI that can register the styles (that may not be a good way) , I really need what are the intentions behind that project as that will gonna help me in proceeding further for that project. For eg, social stigma may cause a person to accept an idea he/she dosen't feel for or may not express what he/she feels is right. In my opinion the requirements are: 1) Keeping list members anonymous from each other. 2) Not allowing any way out for revealing any one's identity except if the user chooses to reveal it himself. 3) List admin knows everything going in the backstage, like who is who. Hey everyone, I want to know whether *delete_list *method in the Mailman REST client at http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mailman-coders/mailman.client/trunk/view/head:… ever used ? As per deleting the list is considered the List object returned from the models API which calls the REST API on the back has delete method of its own at http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mailman-coders/mailman.client/trunk/view/head:…. Therefore, we do not require this *delete_list *at all and this is simply unused code. In case it is unused, I would like to file a bug and fix it. And the possible *fixes *would be: 1. Use this *delete_list* method of the Client <http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mailman-coders/mailman.client/trunk/view/head:…> class and call the other by doing something like `_List(self._connection,fqdn_listname, None).delete()` in it and that would require changing MailmanRestManager class in postorius models also. 2. GSoC 2015 Projects

Hello, I am Alangi Derick Ndimnain, a third year student in the department of computer engineering, University of Buea, Cameroon. This means i am from Africa and Cameroon to be precise. I am very pleased to share with you what i have concerning this years GSoC 2015. Going through the list one more time, i have finally decided on what projects to work on. Looking at the idea list of Mailman: http://wiki.list.org/DEV/Google_Summer_of_Code_2015, i have found two topics/ideas that i want to work on this summer. The Project titles are: -* GitHub/development tools integration* - *Subscriber profile pages* First of all, i will like to know which task among this two is really crucial that needs to be implemented in mailman. Secondly, i will like the mentors of these two projects to reply me this mail so that i can know a way forward and start working on the project with my mentors at once. I am currently on the irc channel: #mailman and my irc nick is: d3r1ck. I will like to talk with Florian, Terri, Aurelian who are mentors on these projects to reply me this mail so that i can choose one of the projects and start working. Really, to be sincere, i am really interested in: GitHub/development tools integration and i will like to implement this functionality for mailman to improve communication between a Version control system and the mailing list.
