Too many pending requests?

I can't get to the pending request page for a mailing list. (My web clients just say "waiting for response" and finally give up.) I think it is because there are too many pending requests after some problems. (config.db is almost 10MB.) How can I do this some other way?

Looping problem...

I just ended up with a nasty loop... just when starting up a list. To reproduce: Use Mailman 2.0.5. Turn on the anonymous_list option, so mail seems to come from the list. Have someone on the list have a vacation notice setup. The notice loops... in this case up to 600 times, overnight, before I caught it. Is there any way of maintaining the anonymous_list feature without the looping? I've turned the anonymous_list feature off, but if it can't handle vacation notices, what's the use? TJ

Folks, I've just released Mailman 2.0.4 which is simply a patch release so that Mailman works better with Python 2.1. Mailman 2.0.3 had a few constructs which caused warnings when run with Python 2.1. The unfortunate part is that those warnings could occur in the qrunner process which tended to cause cron to bombard the system administrators with email. If you upgrade your Python to 2.1, you should definitely upgrade to Mailman 2.0.4, otherwise consider it optional. As usual, I'm releasing this as both a complete tarball and as a patch against Mailman 2.0.3. You /must/ update your source to 2.0.3 before applying the 2.0.4 patch. Since the patch is small, I'm including it in this message. To apply, cd into your 2.0.4 source tree and apply it like so: % patch -p0 < mailman-2.0.3-2.0.4.txt Currently both http://mailman.sourceforge.net and http://www.list.org are updated, and I expect the gnu.org site to be updated soon as well. qrunner running twice?

Hello all, I've followed the instructions in the INSTALL file to setup Mailman version 2.1a2 but when I tried to subscribe to the test list I don't get a reply to confirm subscription. And the mailman-owner account gets the following message every minute: ... Subject: cron: /usr/bin/python -S /home/mailman/cron/qrunner Another qrunner is already running, exiting. Anyone been through this that can give me a hand? how to send reject reason to list-owner?

Hello all, when I reject a mail to a moderated list, is there a possibility to send a copy of the reject notifictaion also to "list-owner"? The "Additionally forward this message to" feature only sends the original mail, but not the reject reason. We're several moderators and I want to inform the others that I rejected a message and why. Folks, I just upgraded to Redhat 7.1. I also upgraded mailman from the .05 Beta to the 2.0.1-2 RPM. I made the change to httpd.conf for Scriptalias. I edited mm_cfg.py acordingly. Since this is an RPM all the userid's (mailman etc) is added. I ran /bin/check_perms -f and got: Traceback (innermost last): File "./check_perms", line 50, in ? MAILMAN_GRPNAME = grp.getgrgid(MAILMAN_GID)[0] TypeError: illegal argument type for built-in operation. So, the directory and file permissions are NOT correct re:set for mailman. I ran check_perms as root. Why does it puke? Helppppppppppppppppppppppppp. Regards Mike
