Cloudmark blacklist

Hi, I run two very low traffic Mailman lists on my Linode. This morning one of them got an Email, and that's when I found out thanks to Comcast that my IP is on Cloudmark's blacklist. Naturally I've sent in a reset request using the form linked from the Comcast error message, and am still waiting to be removed. A few days ago I sent to a Comcast customer with no problem. I've resolved the problem sending to Comcast by enabling my server to send using IPv6. This required me to have Linode allocate me my own /64 since my default IPv6 address was in a /64 blocked by Spamhaus XBL/CSS lists. Does anyone know if Cloudmark blocks entire IP ranges or just individual addresses? I don't know why my IP is on Cloudmark's list, as most of the Email I send is personal in nature, to people I have corresponded with for years. I've used multiple RBL check tools, and everything has come back negative, except that my entire subnet is on Spamgrouper.to (checked by running a check on a neighboring IP). I have SPF, DKIM, and DMARC set up. I'm getting really tired of these unexplained blacklistings. Does anyone know of any reliable outgoing Email service providers? Ideally I want to continue to handle my own incoming Email because I don't want someone else's spam blocking software deciding what Emails I receive. Thanks, Jayson

Create a list with multiple admins?

Using mailman-2.6.x: Is it possible to create a list (via CLI or the WUI) which has multiple owner addresses? Error member gets when sending to one of my lists?

Hi all, A member is subscribed to two lists I run. He can post to one but gets the following error when posting to the other list. I don’t think I have things set differently for any of the lists I run. SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data: 550 Maximum line length exceeded (see RFC 5322 2.1.1). TIA.

Outlook blocked again, but strange response

Hi, So it's happened again and I have no idea why, though I suspect some of my IP neighbors may have been put on Microsoft's naughty list as my subnet with Linode was recently listed on Uceprotect level 2. Anyway, I go to send an Email to an Outlook user, and get the typical thing, Unfortunately, messages from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX weren't sent. Fill out the support request, expect to get conditionally mitigated in a few hours…nope. Instead, I get this: Hi , Thanks for your patience, we are currently experiencing technical difficulties and our engineers are working to resolve the issue at the earliest. Thanks again, Outlook.com Deliverability Support Has anyone received this from Microsoft before? If so, will the issue eventually be resolved, or do I need to wait a few days and submit my request again? Thanks, Jayson

mailman httpd location question

Hi, Under OpenBSD's httpd, my mailman setup gives an HTTP 404 error when 'mysite.com/listinfo' is typed, however 'mysite.com/listinfo/' works. In order to *solve* this issue, I added 2 different locations pointing to the same cgi script, as: location "/listinfo" { fastcgi socket "/var/www/run/slowcgi.sock" root "/usr/local/lib/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo" request strip 1 } location "/listinfo/*" { fastcgi socket "/var/www/run/slowcgi.sock" root "/usr/local/lib/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo" request strip 1 } The same goes for /create and other cgi scripts as well. Wondering how to make both ways (with ending '/' and without) work? Is there any parameter configuring this in mailman2? Best wishes, Mark.

Digest not being received in a timely fashion

For years our digest has arrived at 9:00 am (PST). In the last six months it has been erratic, arriving at different times during the day. Now, recently it is not arriving for a day, sometimes days. It's pretty useless to our members to have messages from one or two days ago arrive late. I've asked the Mailman hosting company about this repeatedly. Their answer is that bigger volume mailist senders on shared servers take time in the queue, and our little mailist has to wait until their messages are processed. They've asked them to move to a dedicated server, but the delays are still occurring. I've asked them about setting up a Cron job to schedule the release of our emails, but haven't received a definitive answer. Anyone have any suggestions?

Apple and Microsoft emails bounced

Routinely, email posts from Microsoft (.hotmail, .live, .me) and now more recently Apple (.icloud and .mac) are being bounced en masse. Is there something we or our host can do to stop this from happening? Appreciate any advice. Thanks

Non-delivery of approved messages

Hi, I administer and moderate a library and information science professional list. The list is running on Mailman 2.1.26. There are nearly 5k list subscribers, of which almost 4k are 'digest' registrants. The majority of the registrations are with personal email IDs. During the last couple of weeks, approved messages are not being delivered to the list members. When I check the Email & collaboration alerts in the Microsoft 365 Admin Portal, I see the following message: Suspicious email sending patterns detected, User was restricted from sending emails. Additionally, a pop-up on the screen reads: "Unblock entities which have been blocked for sending too many messages marked as spam/bulk." The first approved message gets delivered after unblocking the relevant email ID and approving another message after 24 hours. For the subsequent one, the emails bounced back, and the MS admin portal reported the same error messages mentioned above. Can someone please help me fix this issue?
