I have had problems before with my mailing lists sending to MSN and Hotmail but never this bad - it has been going on for several days now - occasionally some messages get through but most come back with the information at the end of this message. From the same server I have sent messages to my hotmail account to check it and they come through fine but the list mail does not. Is there some setting I could set on mailman v 2.0.8 that would fool hotmail into thinking its not bulk mail or something. Any other ideas? A non-text attachment was scrubbed...?

Hi all, After moving from 2.0.13 to 2.1.1, I'm seeing some strange attachment behavior. Someone sent out a 132kb attachment to 3 mailing lists. On the list I subscribe to, I received it fine. However, a digest user on one of the other lists received a message stating: A non-text attachment was scrubbed... and it listed a URL for the subscriber to view the attachment from. Both lists have a 300kb max message size limit, and the 132kb post is obviously under that. This attachment [a word document] is sent out once per month and there weren't any reports of problems prior to today [the last time it was posted, we were on 2.0.13]. Any way to turn this feature off? Can Send thru List - Plz Help

After upgrading to 2.1.1 I cannot seem to send to my list anymore. The stmp-failure log is full of Feb 25 21:32:35 2003 (95755) delivery to xxxxxxxx(a)pics.com failed with code 553: 5.1.3 <pics-mail-bounces+xxxxx=pics.com@>... Hostname required Feb 25 21:32:35 2003 (95755) delivery to tttttt(a)pics.com failed with code 553: 5. 1.3 <pics-mail-bouncesttttt=pics.com@>... Hostname required Any help would be most appreciated. List-Id Headers

Hi, I have managed to upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1 and I have noticed that the List-Id: headers have changed in my emails from List-Id: MAILING LIST TEXT <list-test.domain.org> to List-Id: MAILING LIST TEXT <list-test.domain.org> and now procmail can't filter on it. Is this a problem with 2.1? and is it fixed in 2.1.1? I search the mailing list but couldn't find any mention of it. Unrouteable mail domain errors

Hey all, I've just moved to a new web host. A big part of the reason I moved was so I could have access to Mailman again-I'm very happy with the cpanel mailman integration. However, since I've been at the new host, I get an enormous number of bounced messages. They all look like this: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software (Exim). A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: xxxxxxxx(a)mix.wvu.edu unrouteable mail domain "mix.wvu.edu" Now the funny thing about them is that they're completely inconsistent. Some list members @hotmail.com will receive a list message successfully, while others will bounce. Ditto for yahoo, wvu.edu, and so forth. I have mailman set to disable subscriptions after three bounces, and over the past week, every time an email has gone out over the list, anywhere from 4 list members to half of the 150 or so list members get disabled. The web host says he's checked things out on his end, and everything looks good. I've used mailman before with these addresses from another web host's server and not had this problem. Doing a quick google search for the error message reveals lots of hits, but I've been unable to find any useful advice or explanations for what's going on here. If anyone on the list can help, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks, Matthew

qmail install help

Hello, First post here :), I have looked over the archives (finally found them) and do not see much help getting mail man to work with qmail. I have read INSTALL and README.QMAIL however they are for people who know what they are doing. I have installed Qmail and it is working fine. I installed it using Life with Qmail. It seems how you set things up there are a little different compared to what README.QMAIL does with alias. I follow most of the install but things like setting the gid dont make since, they are incomplete sentences and if you dont REALLY know qmail its hard to follow. I also looked for a Qmail/Mailman tutorial and can't find anything, just patches and complaints. If someone has a link can you send it too me. Thanks alot. I am trying to get htdig working with my mailman installation. Searched the archives and did not find the answer. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have applied the patches and everything seem to be ok with the install, night rundig works fine, search form shows up on list info pages, but whenever I click the search button I am getting this error: ht://Dig error htsearch detected an error. Please report this to the webmaster of this site. The error message is: Unable to read configuration file I am a little confused about the HTDIG_CONF_LINK_DIR and HTDIG_MAILMAN_LINK vars though and I suspect this may be where the error lies. My htdig is in /var/www/htdig/, and my mailman dir is /usr/local/mailman/. I have created a symbolic link htdig-mailman -> /usr/local/mailman/archives/htdig. Does anyone have any suggestions?
