XHTML Compliant Web UI - 2.1.6 Patch

I have just uploaded a patch that will make the web UI for MM 2.1.6rc1 XHTML 1 strict compliant. This patch allows for some CSS formatting as well. I have tried to make all the pages compliant, but I may have missed some combinations of pages and options, so if you find some that aren't compliant, please let me know which page isn't compliant and under which circumstances it's not. How to get Sender Id from the Mailing List where the annoymous option is set

Hi, I am the list administrator for a mailing list running mailman 2.1.3 with python. My list is set as anonynmous list. So I cannot find the senders email id. I donot want to change the settings to non annoymous, as this will discourage people from posting to the group. Can anyone tell me how to obtain the statistics of which member has posted how many messages. Also is there a way to know who has posted a particular mail. List Topic Filter Expression question

I am currently running Mailman 2.1.6.rc2. I am setting up a List with multiple Topics. I have the Topic Filter Enabled. I set number of body lines the topic matcher should scan to 0. I only want the Subject line to be scanned. I would like to filter the incoming messages to unique topics. How do I set up the 'Regexp:' box for each Topic? new to mime filters

Hey there trying to learn how to filter attachments with a list of extensions. I'd like to write a filter that will scan for all items like .exe, .dll and a long list of things of that sort and delete them. Not sure how to do this. Can anyone help with this basic question? Thanks, -Jay

Bounce processing

I've looked through the FAQs and can't find anything about what I need for a list I run. Can Mailman, when it gets a bounce, send the bounce to the listowner and not process it? Alls I can find is the option to turn off (and discard) bounce processing. I've got a list that is sent out monthly and need to track bounces to remove members who do bounce. Is what I need possible with Mailman or should I stick to what I'm using (ecartis) for this monthly list? TIA, -Doc ps. I can hack python pretty good, so hacking the code is no big deal. Just need a pointer to where to start looking.

Strange "permission denied" cron messages

I have installed mailman-2.1.5 (from source on a debian) but keep getting the below error messages from cron. The jobs are scheduled in the crontab for the "mailman" user. check_perms reports "no problems found" I can run the scripts just fine, without getting any error output, if I do it manually as the mailman user from the shell: /usr/bin/python -S /usr/local/mailman-2.1.5/cron/checkdbs Also, as the mailman user, I have no problems with creating/writing to the files and dirs that apparently have wrong permissions (according to the cron mail). How can I get rid of these annoying error messages? unicode() error causing shunt

I'm running 2.1.6rc2. For the first time yesterday, I started getting cron errors and messages getting shunted. The cron errors and the shunting errors appear to be the same. I found about four similar reports when I searched the archives, but didn't find any solutions. Actually I did find a reply from Barry for one of them, but it was from 2003 and said to wait for version 2.1.3. Is this likely a bug in 2.1.6rc2, or is there something I can fix on my end?
