Mail stuck in Exim queue

Hi, We have a new RH Linux/cPanel/WHM installation including Mailman. I have moved several lists to Mailman from other servers. We have a very frustrating problem in that only a very members if the list are receiving email, the remainder being stuck in the Exim queue. I assume this must be a common problem, and there is a fix for it? I would be grateful to know what it is! Very pleased with Mailman apart from that and look forward to using it for further lists once this one is solved. Thanks. Best regards, Adrian Cooper.

Question about 2.1.5 Install

I have a server using a chrooted environment for my various websites (running 3 websites). Specificly I am running an a red hat server with ensim basic. Are there any modiciations to Mailman 2.1.5, outside the regular configuration, to make it work in a chrooted environement. Sender details and anonymous list

Hi, I have set up an anonymous list - it's for announcements from a central team to subscribers only, no discussions. It's all working great, exactly as required ... with one tiny problem. The anonymous list correctly removes the details of who in the team sent the message, and replaces it with the lists email address. I have been asked to set this so that it is a specific name, rather than the address. I.e, in their mail clients, users will see: From: The company's biggest boss instead of From: announcements(a)example.com Having spent some time looking, I'm fairly sure this isn't possible in mailman at the moment: the choices are either the mailing list, or the original sender. Can anyone confirm definitively? I am using version 2.1.2. Thanks in advance, Miles

<scraping sound of soapbox being pulled up> I really, /really/ appreciate applications that build into a single binary or a very few files, that can be built on a (different) build and test host, then copied over to the production when everything is thrashed out and ripe...you know, like Pine and UoW IMAP. I like it because: = it keeps the production host clean, = updates are MUCH more manageable, = you don't have a compiler on the production host to give hackers a way to build nasty things on your production machines, = You know when you remove/replace the single/very few files, you've got everything cleaned out/replaced. = there's prolly other things that don't come to mind right now. I have just gotten to page three of INSTALL and it seems like This Will Not Be The Case With Mailman. Tell me it isn't so. I guess I'm just hopelessly behind-the-times in not wanting the installation fairy sprinkling files here and there and generally making heavy local dependencies. I never wanted to be a Hero-Wizard (who maintains the smooth running balance of the Code Forges of Magrathea by mighty, arcane & stupendous acts of magic...and ends up wasted), I didn't want to own, feed and take care of five elephants and a steam engine, I Just Wanted A Mailing List Manager... I am subscriped to an mailing list i created. I get the first authenciation email from my server, but I cant respond I get this error: 'fabiantest(a)humano2.org' am 28.10.2004 15:42 550 5.1.1 <fabiantest(a)humano2.com> User unknown; rejecting what should I do?

Mailman adding extra reply-to address

I have noticed that when attempting to access the archives for both my public lists, that they are directed to the path /pipermail/, instead of /pipermail/listname. I checked the /etc/mailman/en/listinfo.html file and it has <MM-Archive><MM-List-Name> where it ought to be, but the list name is not being added. I also checked via the web editing interface, and it shows that the list name should be being added. I tried searching the mail list archives and the FAQ, but didn't see anything that addressed my question. Where can I look or what can I do to fix this? I have about 60+ files in my shunt directory. This is the result of a show_qfiles, what's up? What am I supposed to do and how do I fix it? Content filtering, info about removed part

After some experimenting Content filtering it seems to work fine (Mailman 2.1.4) But there is no information in the posted messages when an attachment has been removed. OldStyleMemberships Error

Since upgrading to Mailman 2.1.4 from v2.0.8 I have been getting the below errors in the log whenever a non-member tries to access a non existing account. They are also presented with the "we've hit a bug" screen which also displays the below information. Is there some process that I can run to convert all of the "old style memberships" to whatever Mailman wants to stop this and have the person just get a screen that says he's not subscribed?
