Greetings, Does anyone is doing the portuguese translation of Mailman? I am volunteer to help , but I need some guidelines. German translation of Mailman-2.1?

Hi! I've seen the message catalogs for mailman-2.1, but I cannot find the template files for a German translation. Does anybody have these? As a side note: I have begun translating the files in the template directory, since our customer needs a German mailman Right now I must say that the documentation about how to actually make the translated documents work sucks. I had to read README.es (!) to find out the steps I have to carry out... Hi everybody. I was playing whith i18n and the last 2.1a3 CVS and I have much untranslated text. This is strange because: [pioppo@flug LC_MESSAGES]$ msgcmp mailman.po ../../mailman.pot [pioppo@flug LC_MESSAGES]$ msgfmt -v -o mailman.mo mailman.po 575 translated messages, 328 fuzzy translations, 1 untranslated messages. mailman.pot was generated by me with pygettext, so it is up-to-date with the code. Maybe there is still unmarked text? Greetings, I am currently using mailman 2.0.5. Does this version support multilingual features ? If so, how can I help in the translation ? If not, I am still volunteer to help the portuguese translation, but I need some guidelines in order to do so. french translation

Hello, I am planning to go public with some lists shortly using a recent CVS mailman. I would like to give a complete french interface to subscribers. I am very greatful for the work already done, and would like to contribute to close the few gaps and maybe propose some corrections to errors. According to i18n.html you are the maintainer of the translation to french. The mailman-fr list unfortunately seems unreachable at the moment. Please let me know if there is already a effort to complete the francisation of mailman, or if I can help. Regards, Michael

New language: Russian

Looks like for almost two years nobody thought that it was a good idea to have Mailman in Russian. :)) Could you please add Russian to MM 2.1? The language code is 'ru', the name is Russian, and the charset is koi8-r. I have a number of files and about 11% of mailman.po already translated. If you think it's a good idea to add them [to CVS] right away, just let me know. -- Misha

Updated language pack

I've just uploaded the latest language pack to SourceForge. You'll have to wait the traditional 30 minutes for SF to make the uploaded files visible, but they should be available from: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=103 Translators may want to grab the language pack, update their catalogs, and check their templates against the English ones for any changes. You can send me any updated translations for integration back into CVS (or new ones if you're translating a language that isn't yet integrated!). For best results, send me a .tgz file that can be unpacked at the top level of the CVS tree. IOW, your tarball should contain the directories messages/<mylang>/... and templates/<mylang>. As an added bonus, if you can get updated translations to me within the next couple of days, you'll probably get your language supported in the next alpha, which -- though long overdue -- will hopefully be released this weekend.
